Due to the non-contact and other advantages of ultrasonic technology, attempts have been made to apply piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic transducers to liquid concentration detection systems. The chip used in the system is Spartan 3E series FPGA. Piezoelectric ceramic transducers play an important role in transmitting and receiving signals. The ultrasonic signal with a certain frequency and amplitude generated by the transducer is transmitted into the liquid through the transmission circuit, and after the signal is attenuated by the liquid, a signal with liquid concentration information can be received from the receiving transducer end. Through the analysis of sound attenuation method, the approximate concentration of the liquid can be effectively obtained. The software design of the system includes the main program, ultrasound measurement program, pulse control program, pulse transmission and reception program, ADC acquisition and control program, as well as clock and alarm program.
In the experiment, static liquid can be measured first, and ultrasonic attenuation method can be used to analyze the signal collected at the receiving end, perform envelope processing, and combine the signal propagation path (pipeline diameter) to obtain concentration information. Further measure the dynamic liquid, taking into account the flow velocity of the liquid, and calculate the approximate path for signal propagation.
