The 10L cleaner has 380 X 250 X 200mm tank fits most inline-4 cylinder heads and many V6 head. So that it is specially good for cleaning inline-4 and V6 cylinder heads, intake manifolds, and the brake caliper housings from passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. It helps to remove combustion carbon from valve seats, oil varnish from intake ports, and brake dust from caliper bores. Simply, 10-12 minutes at 70% power, 65 C a cycle.

What size cylinder head fits in the 10L tank?

The dimension of the 10L cleaning tank is 380 x 250 mm, so normally inline-4 cylinder heads from passenger cars fits. However, V8 cylinder heads would require a large cleaning tank, such as a 15L or 22L model.

How many brake calipers can I clean per cycle?

In a 10L tank, normally, you can fit 4-6 brake caliper housings per cycle (depending on caliper size). Front calipers (typically larger) fit 4 per cycle; rear calipers fit 6 per cycle. This cleaning effectiveness is ideal for shops processing 10-15 brake jobs per week. The 200 mm depth accommodates dual-piston calipers with the brake pads removed.

Can I use the 10L for aluminum transmission valve bodies?

Yes, and we suggest you set the power between 25-35%.  That is because aluminum transmission valve bodies (common in ZF, Aisin, and GM transmissions) are soft and can develop surface pitting if over-sonicated. And the best composition is 25-35% power, 60 C temperature, and 8-10 minute cycles.

What's the real-world cleaning time for a cylinder head?

As we know, the dust is combined with dust and oils, so you need to add some special ultrasonic solutions to speed up the cleaning process. Of course, you should read the solution's instructions carefully because it relates to the temperature. So normally, we set the heating to be 65°C and ultrasonic power at 70%; an inline-4 cylinder head (Honda K-series) requires 10-12 minutes for complete carbon and varnish removal. And the heavy carbon deposits may need a second 8-minute cycle.

Can I run this on a standard 120V/15A shop circuit?

Yes, it can be, because we do have such a PCB version for 120V 15A, and it won't affect the cleaning effectiveness. . If the heater and ultrasonic run simultaneously at full power, the system draws approximately 7A

What daily maintenance does the 10L require?

You don't need any special maintenance, just the following:

At the end of each day, keep the drain clean and ensure it won't be blocked.  Rinse the tank with fresh water and wipe the tank walls with a shop rag.

Once per week: check the drain valve seal, inspect the power cord for damage, and verify the heater indicator light functions. With this routine, the SUS304 tank lasts 10+ years in daily shop use. Replace the settling barrel filter monthly.

Is the 10L suitable for a start-up automotive repair shop?

Yes. The 10L is the most cost-effective entry point for professional ultrasonic cleaning in a start-up automotive repair shop.
